Privacy policy

This policy explains what data Luke processes, what for and with whom, both when you visit this site and when your restaurant uses the service.

Who is responsible

Luke is a service of Servicios Tecnológicos Cotalker SpA, a company incorporated in Chile. When you visit this site or message us to book a demo, Cotalker is the controller of your data.

When your restaurant uses Luke, the controller of its operational data is the restaurant. Cotalker processes that data on the restaurant's behalf, as a processor, solely to deliver the contracted service.

What data we process

It depends on how you interact with Luke.

On the site: the language you choose (luke-lang cookie) and aggregated, non-identifying usage metrics from Vercel Analytics, which does not use tracking cookies.
When you book a demo: your name, phone number and whatever you tell us on WhatsApp or when scheduling on the calendar.
When your restaurant uses Luke: the details of the team members the restaurant adds (name, phone, email, role and location); the messages they exchange with the agents on WhatsApp or Telegram; the photos and documents they send (checklists, invoices, evidence); and the operational records the agents create from them.
From the systems the restaurant connects (point of sale, ERP, time clock): the data the restaurant authorizes us to read or write, for the process that needs it.
From guests who message the location's WhatsApp: their phone number, their name if they share it, and the content of the request.

What we use it for

Delivering the service: starting processes, requesting and reading evidence, recording, detecting, escalating and reporting.
Supporting the restaurant and its team.
Protecting the service: security, abuse prevention and compliance with the messaging platforms' policies.
Improving the product with aggregated, anonymous metrics.
Sending you commercial communications only if you asked for them, for example when requesting a demo.

Language models

The agents use language models from third-party providers to understand messages, photos and documents. The information is sent to resolve that request and comes back as structured data.

We do not use your operational data to train models, and we work with those providers under enterprise terms of use.

Who we share it with

We do not sell data. We share it only with:

Infrastructure and service providers we need in order to operate: cloud hosting, messaging through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform and Telegram, language model providers and site analytics. Each one processes data under contract and only for its function.
The systems the restaurant itself connects, on the terms the restaurant authorizes.
Authorities, when required by law.

WhatsApp and Telegram

Messages travel over Meta's and Telegram's platforms and are also subject to their policies. To start a conversation on WhatsApp, Luke uses templates approved by Meta.

You can stop receiving messages by saying so in the same chat or by asking the restaurant.

Where data is stored

Our servers and providers may be located outside your country. When that is the case, we apply contractual and technical safeguards so the data keeps the same level of protection.

Security

Each restaurant's data is isolated from every other restaurant's. We use encryption in transit, role-based access and scoped credentials for integrations and dashboards.

No system is infallible. If we detect an incident that affects you, we will let you know.

How long we keep it

For as long as the restaurant keeps the service active, plus any additional period required by law or by the contract. When the service ends, the restaurant can request an export of its data, after which we delete it.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, objection or portability of your data under Chile's personal data protection law and the laws that apply where you live.

If you are a team member or a guest of a restaurant that uses Luke, contact the restaurant first, as it is the controller; we help it respond. In any case, you can write to us.

Minors

The service is intended for businesses and their teams. It is not designed for people under 18, and we do not knowingly process their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we publish the new version here with its date. If the change matters to the restaurants that use Luke, we notify them.
